Good Evening,
I hope you all had a good weekend & acheived all you set out to do.
No?
Well dont worry, it happens to all of us. One of the main culprits is focus & along with yourself and a million others, there probably weren’t any goals set. I dont mean ‘cast in stone, to sacrifice all other things by’ goals, I just mean, taking a moment to plan what it is you want. For instance is it peace & quiet, is it fun & excitement, is it socialable or solitary?
Goals dont have to be these momentous things but it does help if we take a moment to consider our needs.
What is it we need? An acronym I have used in the past ( & before I get swamped with replys the words can be altered) is SPICE.
SPICE can stand for Social/Spiritual, Personal/Physical, Intellectual/Intuitive,Cultural/Creative & Environmental/Economic.
As a prompt to activate thinking its quite handy. I am sure you can come up with alternatives for SPICE & for many more. Why not give it a go & get some right brain activity going..?
Before I go can I just thank all those involved with the Town & Country Party in the Paddock last saturday. It was well organised, fun & I spoke to many interesting people. To those I would definatley include Paul & Clare from Devon Haylage www.devonhaylage.co.uk . Their company on the adjoing stand was very pleasant & it was inspiring to hear how they had constructed their business. Two very hard working young people who have earned success.
I think I was struck by this simple day, by sometimes how we are encouraged to overcomplicate our lives, sometimes we need to slow down & ask ourselves ‘Is this what I want? and most importantly, listen for the answer.
Take care,
Gavin
